May 30, 2026 – Duke Energy Florida will lower typical residential bills by about $50, or 25%, per 1,000 kilowatt-hours compared to January through three 2026 reductions. The decreases include about $33 in February from ending a storm recovery charge early, about $11 in March from seasonal savings and about $6 beginning in June from storm cost true-up savings effective through September, according to Duke Energy Florida.
