OBITUARY
Donald Arthur Engdahl, of St. Pete Beach, Florida, formerly of Enfield, passed away with family by his side on Tuesday, May 19, in St. Petersburg, Florida. He moved to St. Pete Beach from Enfield in 2002.
Don was the devoted husband of the late Judith Ann Engdahl, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage before her passing in 2018.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts (October 22, 1938), Don graduated from Brighton High School and proudly served in the United States Army. He later earned his degree from Charter Oak State College. In retirement, he enjoyed life in a beach community, taking frequent walks, spending days by the water, welcoming visits from family, socializing with friends and neighbors, and supporting local businesses, especially in the aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
He is survived by his daughters, Tracy Engdahl of Enfield, Connecticut; Holly Engdahl of St. Petersburg, Florida; and Nancy Kelly (Jason) of Wethersfield, Connecticut. He also leaves behind his beloved grandsons, Griffin and Lucas Kelly of Wethersfield. Don was predeceased by his brothers, Frederic, Richard, and Ken Engdahl, and his sister, Doris Ruhl. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
In accordance with Don’s wishes, services will be held privately with family. Donations may be made in his honor and memory to the American Cancer Society.
