PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — An early morning house fire in Port St. Lucie displaced two adults on Tuesday.

The St. Lucie County Fire District (SLCFD) said that at around 4:10 a.m., several units were dispatched to a home on NW Selvitz Road, off NW Bayshore Boulevard, in response to a residential structure fire.

Photos taken at the scene show the home with plumes of black smoke coming out of the garage.

The SLCFD said the fire was brought under control around 16 minutes later, and firefighters were able to contain the fire in the garage. Additional photos show the inside of the garage and the charred remains of the items inside.

Two people were displaced by the fire, but no injuries were reported, according to the news release.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
