JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The 2026 hurricane season is off to a calm start. There is no tropical activity is expected in the Atlantic in the next 7 days.
The season has been forecast to be near-to-slightly-below average when it comes to the number of named storms, hurricanes and major hurricanes by CSU and NOAA. But remember, it only takes one!
Now is the time to prepare for the season while the tropics are calm. Gather your supplies and get your plan in place.
