ORLANDO, Fla. – Grab a jacket if you’re heading out early — Saturday morning starts off on the chilly side for Central Florida, with many spots kicking off the day in the 40s and 50s.
Things are expected to warm up, bringing a pleasant and sunny weekend to the region.
Today’s highs
Daytime highs are forecast to reach the 70s on Saturday, with cities like Wedgefield and Melbourne likely to see 76 degrees, Palm Coast hitting 73 degrees, and Clermont at 75 degrees.
Those temperatures are expected to climb even higher on Sunday, edging into the upper 70s — making it a great weekend to enjoy the outdoors. Inland areas should also notice nice and light winds, contributing to the comfortable feel.
One thing helping keep the weekend nice and dry? An area of high pressure to the west and plenty of dry air overhead.
Don’t forget: Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend. Be sure to set your clocks back by one hour before heading to bed Saturday night. This change brings an earlier sunrise — official sunrise jumps from 7:37 a.m. Saturday to 6:38 a.m. Sunday. You’ll get a little extra sleep and see daylight arrive earlier in the morning.
Weekend Forecast
Looking ahead, a new cold front is expected to move through Sunday into Monday. The forecast includes a slight, 20% chance for isolated showers late Sunday into Monday, but most areas will likely stay dry.
