Love Sanibel Back will continue on June 8-14 with Week 2, themed “Welcome to Summer.” Residents and visitors are encouraged to celebrate the season by supporting the local businesses that help make the island a vibrant and welcoming community. This week’s simple challenge is to visit a local spot you love — a restaurant, cafe, retail shop, attraction or favorite gathering place — and bring a friend along to enjoy it. Participants are also encouraged to: leave a positive review on Google, Tripadvisor and/or Yelp; and share a photo enjoying their favorite local spot using #LoveSanibelBack. Running from now through August, Love Sanibel Back is built around the themes of “Buy Local — Spread Joy — Give Back.” The community-wide initiative is presented by Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in collaboration with community partners.
