• I’m ticked off at the big black truck honking at me in the Windermere traffic circle, who then began flashing his high beams at me in a 30 mph zone. You know it is 30 mph and you know how Windermere police like to ticket people going too fast. Slow down, clown!
• It ticks me off that Spectrum doesn’t offer the new broadcast stations for Rays TV and Marlins TV for free, like was the case for years with the local sports TV channels that provided us with Tampa and Miami baseball games. I pay for the MLB.TV premium subscription, but both are blackout games in this area. So if I want to watch the local baseball, I have to pay an extra fee on top of my subscription.
• To the person who is ticked off at hotels’ small labels on the soap/shampoo dispensers: Do you actually use those dispensers that other people use? It’s bad enough we use the same pillows, but don’t use community body soap and shampoo!
• I’m ticked off that Ticked Off! has become serious recently instead of addressing frivolous annoyances.
The flip side
• Thank you to the EMS and surgical team at South Lake Hospital, who came out on a cold night in January to care for me in an emergency. Thanks also to the nursing and medical care teams on the third floor for the excellent care during my stay. I know this is belated, but your professionalism and compassion were greatly appreciated.
