• It ticks me off that if property taxes come to an end, so do our parks and recreational areas. No money to keep them up and will probably be sold off.

• Three teabags in a packet instead of four. Four pounds of sugar instead of five. Cereal? Bread? Ice cream? Even sandwich bags. Make it stop!

• I’m ticked off at the host and show changes at MS NOW.  Their daytime viewership is down because — duh! —- people go to work during the daytime. For me, their name is changing from MS NOW to MS Never Again. Hello, CNN!

• I wish all R-rated movies would note, within the rating, just how many profanities are used. Some films today drop more than 100 f-bombs, a sure sign of lazy screenwriting. I won’t sit through two hours of that. It’s no wonder so many younger people are so coarse and crude.

• The comic strip “Hi and Lois” erred significantly by stating they were honoring “all who served” (that’s Veterans Day) instead of saying they were honoring all those veterans “who made the ultimate sacrifice.”

The flip side

• By far, the best commercial ever made, and I’m a super Super Bowl commercial enthusiast, is the adorable cartoon dogs making the cake for the mail carrier.  It’s perfect. If only it would go even longer.

• In response to the refreshing, creative front-yard skeleton displays, I find them rejuvenating as I travel to and from my Winter Park Y workouts!
