JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Sebastian Cruz recorded a goal and assist as the Tampa Bay Rowdies took a 2-0 victory against Sporting Club Jacksonville at Hodges Stadium in Group 7 of the Prinx Tires USL Cup, clinching a place in the Quarterfinals for the visitors as they extended their undefeated streak to 14 games across all competitions to start the 2026 season.

The Rowdies took control of the game early on and almost took the lead on the half-hour mark when Cruz’s header hit the crossbar off a corner kick, but Cruz was on the money in the 35th minute as he slotted home a finish from the right side of the box after a sweeping cross from the left by Charlie Ostrem to put the visitors ahead. The visitors then doubled their lead in first-half stoppage time when Myers was played in behind the Jacksonville back line by Cruz and tucked home a finish to the right corner from the left side of the penalty area.

Tampa Bay almost added to their lead just past the hour-mark as Evan Conway hit the left post with a shot on a breakaway, and Pedro Dolabella was denied by a good save from Jacksonville’s Jake McGuire with 15 minutes to go, but the visitors saw out the win as Sporting JAX was held without a shot on target.

SARASOTA PARADISE 2, FC NAPLES 0: Goals from Declan Watters and Chandler O’Dwyer and an eight-save shutout from 18-year-old Rockson Amedeka propelled the Sarasota Paradise to victory over FC Naples in the Prinx Tires USL Cup at the Paradise Coast Sports Complex. The win was Sarasota’s first against their Battle of Paradise rivals.

After early pressure from Naples, Watters gave Sarasota the advantage in the 11th minute. The Irish defender nodded home Andres Rodriguez’s free kick to record his first goal for the club and only the fourth goal in his career across USL League One and USL Cup action.

In the second half, Naples continued to push for the equalizer, but Sarasota proved the more clinical of the two sides. In the 84th minute, Paradise doubled its lead via O’Dwyer after USL Academy signing Dominik Brulinski fired a cross from the left into the box, and Ethan Bryant did well to flick a pass into space for the Englishman, who cushioned the ball off his thigh and volleyed his shot into the back of the net.

Amedeka helped Paradise see out the match with a 95th-minute save, which completed an eight-save shutout. The clean sheet was the Right to Dream Academy product’s first with the club.
