JACKSONVILLE, Onslow County — Furniture Plus says it will begin processing payments on Monday, June 8, after a fire destroyed its North Marine Boulevard location last week.
The business said customers who are able to visit in person can go to High Point Furniture, located at 2037 Lejeune Boulevard in Jacksonville. Customers who are unable to visit in person can call 910-455-8888.
Furniture Plus is asking customers for patience, saying only one phone line is currently operational until the phone company adds additional lines at the temporary location.
“Thank you for your business, understanding, and patience,” the business said in an update.

The update comes after Furniture Plus, located at 817 North Marine Boulevard, was deemed a total loss following a fire that kept crews on scene overnight, according to the City of Jacksonville.
Firefighters were dispatched to the business around 1:16 p.m. Wednesday, June 3. Officials said the fire started in one of the business warehouses and spread quickly.
Crews battled the fire for hours and remained on scene overnight to make sure it was fully extinguished. Firefighting efforts ended around 10 a.m. Thursday, June 4, when investigative personnel took over command.
City officials said there were no casualties or serious injuries. Five firefighters sustained minor injuries during the response. Some were treated on scene, while others received follow-up medical care.
The Jacksonville Fire Department later said all firefighters who sustained injuries had been cleared by medical staff.
Multiple agencies responded, including the Jacksonville Fire Department, Camp Lejeune Fire & Emergency Services, Onslow County Fire & Rescue, Swansboro Fire Department, Pumpkin Center Fire Department, Richlands Volunteer Fire Department, Half Moon Volunteer Fire Department, Verona Volunteer Fire Department, Rhodestown Volunteer Fire Department and the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
First responder agencies also included the Jacksonville Police Department, Onslow County Sheriff’s Office and Onslow County Emergency Management. Jacksonville Public Services and Transit also assisted.
Officials said the Jacksonville Fire Department will investigate the cause of the fire.
