Recommended FY27 Budget will be presented to the Commissioners.
$2.67 billion dollar total budget.
Proposes a $2.2 billion dollar FY26-FY30 Capital Improvement Plan.
$565 million put into the FY27 Capital Improvement Plan, with 696 total projects.
15 new projects included in the plan.
141 projects being funded through the Infrastructure Sales Tax.
Property taxes represent 19% of all revenues, at $518 million.
Commissioners will review the proposal, adding new funding items if they choose to do so.

Two new city commissioners will be sworn in; Karen Kerr of Group 3 and John L. Haney of Group 4.
Resolution will authorize the City Manager to continue with designs for the Ellis-Methvin Pedestrian Bridge.
The pedestrian bridge will be located at Ellis-Methvin Park in Plant City, spanning the park’s central pond.
Resolution to accept the construction agreement with FDOT for the Marshall Middle School & Tomlin Middle School Sidewalks projects.
Both projects will build new sidewalks, improve existing ones, and bring safety enhancements to the sidewalks surrounding both schools.

Land Use Board to Approve Protective Fencing at Wimauma Memorial Cemetary
Located at 6012 and 6014 Edina Street, the cemetery is a Designated Historic Landmark.
The Board will vote to approve the $15,000 dollar Historic Preservation Grant to install protective border fencing around the cemetery.
Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners Budget Information Meeting | 333 Chestnut Street, Clearwater | 9:30am
County Commissioners will receive & review FY27 budgets for the following;
Property Appraiser
Appraiser requested $17 million for the FY27 budget, a 1.0% increase from this year.
Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office
Sheriff’s Office requested $505 million in the FY27 budget, a 5.5% increase over this year’s budget.
Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller
Clerk requested $19.8 million for next year’s budget, a 1.4% increase.
Supervisor of Elections
Supervisor requested $11.7 million for the FY27 budget year, reflecting a 7.9% decrease from this years budget.
Tax Collector
The Tax Collector requested $30 million for the new year’s budget, a 2.2% increase from this year.
Human Resources
The Human Resources Department requested 5.1 million in the FY27 budget, a 0.6% increase.
Safety Harbor Library Advisory Committee | 750 Main Street, Safety Harbor | 7:00pm
Discussions will include library facility upgrades, planning for future events and programs, long range plans, and a foundation/friends update.
The 2027 Library Budget will also be discussed at the meeting.
Wednesday, June 10th
City of Clearwater Marine Advisory Board Meeting | 100 N. Osceola Avenue, Clearwater | 8:00am
The Beach Marina Commercial Tenant Outreach Group will provide an update on their activities to the Board.
Regarding the Marina Reconstruction Project, the Board will receive an update on the project’s progress & what will be completed in the next 4 months.
Board will discuss updates on the Seminole Boat Ramp.
Additionally, the Board will discuss possible kayak launch sites to be installed around Clearwater.
Bradenton City Council Meeting | 101 Old Main St, Bradenton | 8:30am
Keep Manatee Beautiful wants Teen Court Participants to Adopt Portion of Bradenton Shore
KMB requested the City Council to allow Teen Court participants and volunteers to adopt the shoreline, starting at the corner of Highway 41 and Riverwalk to the corner of Highway 301.
Participants would be assist the City in removing litter, trash, and other debris from that portion of the shoreline.
Second Reading of Two Proposed Amendments, Limiting Mayoral Power & Implementing City Term Limits
One amendment, which will remove the Mayor’s tie-breaking vote, and remove the Mayor from the City Council, will receive a second public reading and public hearing.
The second amendment, which will implement term limits for the City Council & Mayor, will also receive a second reading and public hearing.
The amendments will be on the November 3rd, 2026 midterm election ballot.

The final Manatee County budget workshop meeting for this week, this meeting will feature a presentation of recommended capital improvement plan projects for FY 2026-2030 and their funding sources.
The Board will also receive a presentation on Stormwater Maintenance Priorities for FY26.
Pinellas County Board of County Commissioner’s Budget Information Session | 333 Chestnut St, Clearwater | 9:30am
Continuing their work, the Board will receive and review budgets for the following agencies;
County Attorney
Requested $5.8 million, reflecting a $87,000 decrease from this year’s budget.
Emergency Management
Requested $2.2 million, a $25,000 redeuction from the FY26 budget.
Utilities – Including Capital Improvement Projects
Requested $472.3 million, reflecting a $103 million dollar decline from FY26.
Office of Human Rights
Requested $1.4 million, a 4.3% decline from FY26.
Convention and Vistors Bureau
$279.8 million dollar request, a slight decline of 0.5% from FY26.
Forward Pinellas
$8.1 million dollar request, a 11.2% increase.
Economic Development – Including the STAR Center
$15.6 million dollar request, a 3.8% decrease.
Housing and Community Development
$5 million dollar request, coupled with $45 million in grants and aid.
Lealman Community Redevelopment Area
$15.9 million dollar request, reflecting a 15% increase.

Tampa City Council Community Redevelopment Area Meeting | 315 E. Kennedy Boulevard, Tampa | 9:00am
West Tampa Community Redevelopment Area Advisory Committee Presentation
The West Tampa CRA CAC will proivde a report outlining their activites and concerns.
The Tampa CRA Director, Cedric McCray, will provide thier monthly report.
The monthly report will include the June Project Tracking Report, Commercial Grants Tracking Report, Housing Grants Tracking Report and the CRA audit.
CRA Community Development Coordinator will provide a written report on progress related to the 34th St. Workforce Housing Project, also known as the Williams Brown Legacy Project.
Located along the 34th Street Corridor within the East Tampa CRA.
The project will provide 31 affordable rental housing units for households earning 30%, 50%, and 80% of the Area Median Income.
Tampa CRA to vote on non-binding memorandum of understanding for Ray’s Stadium development.
Memorandum expresses the CRA’s support for the project.
Non-binding, and holds no real weight.
Polk County Board of County Commissioners Transportation Planning Organization Meeting | 330 W. Church Street, Bartow | 9:00am
Amendment to Polk TPO Transportation Improvement Program Adding Rail Crossing Improvement Project
The amendment will add the East Central Avenue Crossing project to the Transportation Improvement Program.
Project will bring railroad saefty improvements and upgrades.
The Board will review the 2027 Priority Transportation Projects list, a series of construction projects deemed a high priority to complete.
These include a pedestrian bridge over New York Avenue, a rail crossing on State Road 60, US 98 widening, Widening CR 557,Widening SR 60,and a new transportation center featuring an AMTRAK station in Lakeland.
The Board will review progress on the LAkeland Intermodal Center Project Development and Environmental Study.
Included in the Lakeland Intermodal Center are a re-located AMTRAK station and a new central terminus for bus routes.
Metropolitan Planning Organization Board Meeting | 37918 Meridian Avenue, Dade City | 10:00am
The Board will decide on two final plans; the 2026 List of Project Priorities & the Final FY 2027-2031 Transportation Improvement Program.
Board members will discuss and decide on the contents of both plans, before voting to approve them.
City of St. Petersburg City Council Meeting | 175 5th Street North, St. Petersburg | 1:30pm
Council to weigh providing funds for construction of affordable townhome project in the South St. Petersburg Community Redevelopment Area.
The funding, not to exceed $481,854.00, will go to the Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County for the construction of 11 townhomes, called the Grove Townhomes.
Homeowners will receive a 0% interest fixed-rate mortgage, extensive homebuyer education, and limited closing costs of $2,000, no down payment requirements, and no private mortgage insurance to minimize financial barriers.
The cash subsidy equates to $43,805 per unit, as each unit costs $353,805.
Request to the Budget, Finance, and Taxation Committee to proivde report on alternative sources of revenue beyond property taxes
The report will detail possible funding mechanisms for public safety services, including the option of establishing dedicated police & fire service assessments.
This is contingent on whether the Florida Legislature proceeds with placing a constitutional amendment eliminating property taxes on the November ballot.
City Council considers resolution opposing Anti-LGBTQ state legislation
Specifically, the resolution will oppose any state legislation that discriminates against people based on sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected identity or characteristic.
City Council will vote on resolution authorizing second $2.3 million Rapid Unsheltered Survivor Housing Grant.
The grant, designed to address the needs of homeless individuals or families, and those at risk of homelessness, in areas affected by major disasters.
Resolution will authorize the Mayor to accept a second round of the grant, worth $2.3 million, from the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Council to Nominate the Deuces neighborhood a National Historic Place using Dept. of Interior grant funding
The grant, administered by the Department of Interior, will provide $75,000 for the City Planning Department to survey the Deuces neighborhood and prepare a nomination for the National Register of Historic Places.

Council to pursue second allocation of Rapid Unsheltered Survivor Housing Grant.
The City already received $1.6 million in RUSH grant funding, and intends to receive the award again.
In compliance with the grant’s requirements, the Council will hold a public hearing regarding any such plan prior to submission to theU.S Department of Housing and Urban Developmen.
