• Electric bikes and scooters have motors. As such, they are motor vehicles. If they do not need registration, why does my Prius?
• I’m ticked off at milk-carton date stamps. Some say “Best by” a certain date. Others say “Buy by.” And a third say “Use by.” Can you guys all just decide when the milk needs to be drank by or how long it’s supposed to be good?
• I am fully against the governor’s ill-advised proposal to greatly reduce property taxes without a mandatory cutting of rents as well. How about 35%? I may consider voting yes on the proposal if renters are not left behind. After all, landlords and corporations are going to get a big windfall from this proposal.
• Congrats to the winner of the recent PGA Tour Memorial golf tournament and the life-changing $4 million first prize. What disturbs the average fan is that the “last-place winner” was 30 shots back and still awarded $49,000 for his underwhelming efforts. Fore!
The flip side
• While lunching at Sonny’s BBQ in Ocoee, our waitress informed us that our tab was paid. We thank this kind gentleman and will pass it on to our church food pantry. Remember that during the summer, children need access to easily prepared foods such as peanut butter, granola bars, crackers, Velveeta cheese, soup, pork and beans, canned meat, fruit, etc. if you don’t have a church pantry, Second Harvest can always use monetary donations.
