Cleanup advances at American Legion Post 265 site after storm collapse in Jacksonville

Cleanup is moving forward for American Legion Burton-Cowell Post 265 in Jacksonville- after severe weather caused the Post’s building to collapse earlier this year.

Members say they were able to salvage some items from the damaged area as the work continues.

Crews have been working at the property on Broadhurst Road- clearing debris, twisted metal, insulation, and broken concrete blocks from the site.

You can see heavy equipment being used to demolish what was left of the damaged building.
