A man was killed and a woman was injured in a crash Saturday afternoon in Levy County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The crash occurred around 4:35 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 41 and County Road 335, troopers said. According to an FHP crash report, a 46-year-old Orlando man was driving a sedan and traveling west on C.R. 335 while a 53-year-old Archer woman drove a pickup truck north on U.S. 41, both approaching the intersection. The sedan didn’t stop at a stop sign and traveled directly into the path of the pickup truck, causing a collision, the report states. The Orlando man was pronounced dead at the scene while the Archer woman was hospitalized for treatment of minor injuries, troopers said.
