Middleton is no longer the sharpshooter he was with the Bucks but now entering his age-35 season, he can be a solid veteran presence for almost every NBA roster. The veteran has bounced around the last two seasons after being dealt by Milwaukee mid-way through the 2024-25 season. He was traded to the Washington Wizards for Kyle Kuzma and in Washington, he did not shoot particularly well from three-point range. At the 2026 deadline, he was dealt to the Dallas Mavericks and in Dallas, his shooting splits improved with a limited sample size. His play with the Mavericks may have earned him slightly more than a veteran-minimum contract this offseason but either way, he seems to be an affordable option as well.
