PALM CITY, Fla. (CBS12) — Firefighters are working to contain a brush fire that has burned approximately 30 acres in Palm City on Sunday.
According to officials, the fire is located near the Newfield development in Martin County and falls under the jurisdiction of Martin County Fire Rescue.
Martin County Fire Rescue was the first agency to respond to the scene, with support later provided by Stuart Fire Rescue. Crews from the Florida Forest Service are also assisting in the firefighting efforts.

Firefighters say the fire has scorched about 30 acres, and firefighters continue working to establish containment lines and prevent the blaze from spreading.
No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire has not yet been released.
