The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is in the design phase of a project that will resurface a portion of Nova Road in Port Orange.
The project will repave 3.4 miles of Nova Road, from Ridgewood Avenue to Herbert Street, and upgrade pedestrian curb ramps, as needed, to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, according to a City of Port Orange news release. FDOT expects construction to begin in November and be completed in early 2027.
The purpose of this project is to maintain a reliable roadway surface along Nova Road. The estimated design cost is $836,000, and the estimated construction cost is $5.5 million, according to FDOT.
