FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — Multiple transit buses were burglarized and vandalized at a Fort Pierce facility, according to police.
Officers with the Fort Pierce Police Department responded to 1505 Orange Avenue at 8:19 a.m. Monday after receiving reports of multiple bus burglaries.
Investigators later determined the incidents occurred around 5:15 p.m. Friday when unknown suspects entered eight buses on the property and stole six fire extinguishers.

Two additional buses were vandalized when fire extinguishers were discharged inside, causing approximately $500 in cleaning-related damages.
In total, eight buses were affected. Investigators believe the suspects gained entry through emergency exit doors.
The investigation remains active, and no suspects have been identified.
