The-Dream dropped a new track called “Tampa” with Usher on Friday, June 12. It’s the second single from his coming album, Love/Hate II. Pharrell Williams produced the track. This follows “Bring That Body,” which arrived in early May.

The two swap lines about giving a woman the care her man doesn’t give. “She don’t wanna be alone tonight / She don’t wanna be at home tonight / All up in my phone, loving my tone, looking for advice / Trying hard to justify / Shawty tryna be grown tonight,” they sing in the track.

Usher spits bars about high-end presents in his verse. “Givenchy’s in the air / Man, this sh*t ain’t fair / Got Balenciaga, boy, I got her falling out the air,” he delivers before hitting the hook: “This is where your man should be / Instead of worrying ’bout me.”

They also joined forces on “Forget About Her” back in 2016. In addition, The-Dream helped craft Usher’s 2008 album Here I Stand.

Love/Hate II hits stores July 10 through RadioKilla Records and Republic Records. This serves as a follow-up to The-Dream’s 2007 debut album Love/Hate, which featured songs like “I Luv Your Girl” and “Fast Car.”

That first Love/Hate made the Grammy winner known as both a recording artist and one of the music business’s top creative minds. He’s more than just a musician. He’s more than just a performer. His pen has shaped chart-topping records across R&B and pop for almost twenty years.

Both singles will arrive on Love/Hate II when it drops next month. It just adds to the excitement around this album.
