Cam Little has now come closer to the 70-yard field goal than any other kicker in NFL history.
The Jacksonville Jaguars kicker converted a 68-yard attempt on Sunday to set a new league record for longest made field goal.
Little’s kick topped the previous record of 66 yards set in 2021 by former Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker, whose game-winner bounced in off the crossbar.
The new mark was set Sunday at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, with Little’s kick coming as time expired in the second quarter pulling the Jaguars within 6-3 against the Raiders.
Little, during a preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in August, made a 70-yarder with distance to spare, but it did not count as an official NFL record.
He now officially sits atop the record books.
The second-year kicker’s previous career high in a regular-season game was a 59-yard field goal.
A sixth-round pick out of Arkansas, Little made 27 of 29 field-goal attempts during his rookie season, including going 5-for-6 from 50-plus yards. He entered Sunday’s game having struggled in his sophomore season, converting 10 of 14 field-goal attempts, going 1-for-3 from 50-plus yards. He had missed three of his last four kicks, including an extra-point attempt.
There have now been 45 made field goals of 60-plus yards in NFL regular-season history, according to ESPN.
Dallas Cowboys’ kicker Brandon Aubrey has hit five in his three-year career, including two this season from distances of 64 yards and 61 yards. Aubrey’s 64-yarder made in 2024 is now the third-longest field goal made in NFL history.
