Are you ready for a new Whole Foods store in Florida?
How about four more?
The grocery store is opening a new store in Brevard County in early November. It’s the third new Whole Foods in Florida this year.
And more are in development in the Sunshine State.
The Texas-based grocery chain said it is the “world’s leading natural and organic foods retailer” and also the first “certified organic national grocer” in the United States.
Here’s what to know about the grocery store’s plans in Florida.
Whole Foods opening new grocery store in Viera, Florida
A new Whole Foods will open at 2035 Viera Blvd. at 9 a.m. on Nov. 6.
The 37,000-square-foot location will be Whole Foods’ first store in Brevard County.

On opening morning, guests can enjoy complimentary coffee samples and bites from local vendors. The first 300 in line will receive a limited-edition Viera tote bag and a coupon with discounts of up to $100.

Whole Foods has opened eight new stores in the U.S. so far this year, plus another in England. Two of those new stores were in Florida:

“We do have a few Florida stores that are currently in development,” said Carrie Rodgers Hunte, Whole Foods corporate communications, in an Oct. 9 email.

How is Whole Foods different from other grocery stores?
“We seek out the finest natural and organic foods available, maintain the strictest quality standards in the industry, and have an unshakeable commitment to sustainable agriculture,” Whole Foods posted on its website.
The company was founded in Austin, Texas, in 1980.
Known for selling organic and natural items, all foods and products sold at Whole Food Market must meet the company’s quality standards.
“Our standards prohibit over 300 preservatives, flavors, colors, sweeteners and other ingredients from all food we sell. Even better, our banned list continues to grow,” Whole Foods said.
How many Whole Foods are there in Florida, US?
As of Oct. 9, there are 32 Whole Foods stores in Florida, according to Hunte.
There are 528 stores in the U.S., although another new store will be opening Oct. 23 in Arlington, Virginia.
How does Whole Foods compare to Publix on number of Florida stores?
According to data company ScrapeHero, there were 1,464 Publix stores in eight states as of Sept. 22, 2025.
The most stores are located in Florida: 907. The supermarket chain has its headquarters in Lakeland.
