Children and families gathered on Thursday, June 18, 2026, to experience the debut of the Museum of Discovery and Science’s (MODS) new first-of-its-kind AI-powered Everglades Theater. Visitors used gesture-based interactive games to plant mangroves, manage water flow, and identify invasive species alongside Lilly, an AI-powered North American river otter guide. The grand opening also allowed families to explore the new “Build a Better World” phase one attractions, including the Atlantic and Pacific coral reef habitats and the Mangrove Mangal Climber.
