APOLLO BEACH, Fla. (WWSB) – An Apollo Beach man is facing 100 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material after a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office investigation.
Michael Austin Gallo, 38, was identified by the sheriff’s office after investigators said they found more than 100 files on his electronic devices.

The sheriff’s office said its Internet Predator Unit served a search warrant June 17 at a home on Golf and Sea Boulevard in Apollo Beach.

During the search, deputies said they seized 160 electronic devices containing approximately 236 terabytes of data.
“Those who exploit children will be identified, investigated, and held accountable,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said. “Our Internet Predator Unit works tirelessly to protect children and remove these offenders from our community.”
The sheriff’s office did not include bond information, jail status or Gallo’s next court date.
