June 19, 2026 – The Baba restaurant, at 2701 Central Avenue, will officially close July 3, according to a statement posted on the establishment’s Instagram page Thursday. However, the owners teased a “new chapter.” The space will be utilized by Kaixo, a concept inspired by the “food, wine and cultural traditions of the Iberian Peninsula.” Additionally, the adjacent Barbouni raw and tinned fish bar will close temporarily for renovations.
