Arthritis Foundation seeks event planning volunteers

The Arthritis Foundation of Florida, located in Clearwater, is seeking volunteers to assist with the planning and execution of Soiree by the Bay, which will be held in April 2027. The event will feature cocktails, tasting stations, entertainment and live and silent auctions.

Committee members can assist in multiple areas, including event planning, securing in-kind donations, gathering auction items, entertainment, marketing, sponsorship sales and more.

Virtual meetings are held monthly and usually last for about an hour.

Volunteers must be 18 years or older and live in or near Clearwater.

Anchors, Anthems & Ales benefiting The Jackson Copeland Foundation

The Jackson Copeland Foundation (JCF), a St. Petersburg-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was founded in memory of Jackson Rees Copeland, a St. Petersburg native and Northeast High School graduate who fought a relentless battle against high-risk Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Jackson passed away in 2024 at the age of 22. Prior to receiving his diagnosis, he joined the U.S. Navy Reserve as an Intelligence Specialist, assigned to U.S. Central Command in Tampa.

On Saturday, June 27 from 7 until 11 p.m., JCF is hosting “Anchors, Anthems & Ales,” a rock ‘n’ roll concert and community fundraiser to celebrate the life of Jackson Copeland. The event will be held at NOVA 535 and feature a full-service bar, Bellies Street Food in the courtyard and music by Barefoot Bob & The Hope.

The foundation is 100% volunteer-run and dedicated to improving outcomes for those facing the most aggressive forms of this disease, while eliminating the financial concerns that often follows a diagnosis.

Every dollar raised at this event goes directly toward funding vital leukemia research and providing critical, hands-on support to young adult leukemia patients and their families.

NOVA 535 is located at 535 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Street N., St. Petersburg.

After the 4th Cleanup

Join Keep Pinellas Beautiful, in partnership with the City of St. Pete Beach, Sun Drunk, ReThink Energy Florida, St. Pete Eco Club, Remora and Women in Ocean Science, is hosting an After the 4th Cleanup, Sunday, July 5 from 9 until 11 a.m. at Upham Beach Park on St. Pete Beach.

Volunteers are asked to wear closed toe shoes, weather appropriate clothing and sun protection. All cleanup supplies will be provided and a water refill station will be available.

Parking is available at an onsite lot, but only a limited number of passes will be handed out. Carpooling is encouraged.

Upham Beach Park is located at 6850 Beach Plaza, St. Pete Beach. Look for the Keep Pinellas Team near Paradise Grille.

Rotary Gives Backpacks

The Rotary of St. Petersburg, FL is hosting a fundraising event on Wednesday, July 8 from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. at the Imagine Museum to benefit local students through its backpack and school supply program.

Event highlights include meeting Rotarians and supporters, access to the museum’s galleries, raffle opportunities and donation stations, backpack displays and community impact stories, a cash bar and food available for purchase.

Each backpack represents represents encouragement, opportunity and a community that cares. Join Rotary members, community leaders and friends for an evening dedicated to helping local students start the school year with confidence, dignity and the supplies they need to succeed.

This is a donation-based event, with suggested donations of $30–$50.

Salvador Dali Museum seeks Guest Relations volunteers

The Salvador Dali Museum is seeking guest relations volunteers to work as a host at the museum’s app and information station.

Volunteers work independently to provide an explanation of how to use the museum’s self-guided tour app and answer frequently asked questions before and after guests visit the galleries.

This position allows volunteers to participate in an exciting environment and meet new visitors every day. Volunteers must be 16 years and older, agree to a background check, attend an orientation and commit to two-and-a-half-hour shifts.
