Russell J. Orlando, Jr., 92, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Russell J. Orlando, Sr. and Santa (Palmisano) Orlando. He was the devoted husband of Donna M. Orlando, with whom he shared 64 loving years of marriage.

Russell graduated from Kutztown University in 1957 with a bachelor’s degree in education. Although trained as an educator, he found his true calling in the insurance industry, where he built a successful career as a claims adjuster, working for several insurance companies prior to his retirement. He was also an active member of the Claims Association.

Russell cherished many special memories throughout his life. One of his earliest and most treasured experiences was participating in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 1950. Above all, he enjoyed supporting his children and later his grandchildren in their various activities, serving as their caregiver, biggest cheerleader, and dependable chauffeur whenever needed.

His family would like to thank his caregiver, Paulette from Senior Helpers, as well as the Chaplain and Staff at Magnolias of Lancaster and Hospice for their care.

In addition to his wife, Donna, Russell is survived by his daughter, JoAnne (Keith) Decker; five grandchildren, Daniel, Alana, Melissa, Vincent, Jr., and Christian; four great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews and loving extended family.

He was preceded in death by his three sons, Edward, David, and Vincent Orlando; two brothers, Anthony and Salvatore Orlando; and his sister, Joanne.

Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
