One of the greatest privileges of serving as your mayor is the opportunity to connect with residents from every corner of our community.

Whether I meet you at a community event, local business, ribbon cutting, veterans ceremony, or simply while shopping around town, I am constantly reminded of what makes our city such a special place to call home.

As mayor, my responsibilities often involve budgets, infrastructure, growth management, and policy decisions.

While those are all important parts of the job, what truly motivates me is the people behind those decisions — the families raising children here, the seniors who helped build our community, the veterans who served our country, and the entrepreneurs who invest in our local economy.

Over the past several years, our city has continued to make tremendous progress while maintaining the values that brought so many of us here in the first place.

Together, we have focused on responsible financial stewardship, public safety, quality-of-life improvements, and investments in infrastructure.

One area that continues to generate excitement is our investment in parks, recreation, and open spaces.

From the continued development of Tradition Regional Park to the creation of Stars and Stripes Park, which honors our military veterans and first responders, we are building places where families can gather, children can play, and neighbors can connect.

We are also expanding opportunities for outdoor recreation through projects like Rosser Lakes Preserve, a beautiful 105-acre green space that provides residents with access to nature while preserving our environment.

Public safety remains our highest priority. We continue to support our police officers, firefighters, and first responders with the resources they need to keep our community safe.

Investments such as the new police training facility and fire stations will help ensure that our public safety professionals receive world-class training and remain prepared to serve residents for generations to come.

At the same time, we are carefully planning for the future.

As our city continues to grow, we are working to improve transportation, further expand infrastructure, attract high-quality jobs, and ensure that development occurs in a responsible manner.

Growth must be balanced with the expectations of our residents and the quality of life that makes our city one of the most desirable places to live in Florida.

Perhaps what I enjoy most about serving as mayor is listening. Some of the best ideas come from residents who care deeply about their neighborhoods and want to make our city even better. Your feedback helps shape decisions and guides the direction of our community.

Thank you for the trust you place in me and in our City Council. Together, we have accomplished a great deal, and I am excited about what lies ahead.

While there is always more work to do, I remain committed to ensuring that our city continues to be a safe, vibrant, and welcoming place for all who call it home. It is truly an honor to serve as your mayor.
