A Heat Advisory is in effect for Key Biscayne until 6 p.m. today as hot temperatures and high humidity combine to push heat index values as high as 105 degrees.
After a mix of sun and clouds this morning, skies will become mostly cloudy this afternoon, with the chance of a passing shower. The high will reach 89 to 90 degrees, with southeast winds at 5 to 10 mph.
The National Weather Service in Miami recommends residents spending time outdoors drink plenty of fluids, limit exposure to direct sunlight, take frequent breaks in air-conditioned spaces and check on elderly relatives and neighbors, as the heat and humidity may lead to heat-related illnesses.

Wednesday, a mix of sun and clouds with a high of 87 degrees. Winds will shift from the WSW to the southeast at 10 to 15 mph.
