SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A 19-year-old man was arrested after deputies said he stabbed someone during an argument early June 21 in Seffner.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Drake Purcell stabbed the victim after an argument in the roadway at South Kingsway Road and Magnolia Avenue around 12:45 a.m.

The victim was taken to a hospital with a non-life-threatening injury, authorities said.
Deputies said Purcell ran into the woods after the stabbing. HCSO’s Aviation Unit helped ground units find him, and he was arrested shortly after.
Purcell was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, possession of a controlled substance and battery. Authorities said he also had several out-of-county warrants.
