CLEARWATER, Fla. (WWSB) – The Pinellas County Sherriff’s Office (PCSO) arrested 44-year-old Enrique Lopez after he had allegedly stabbed a 51-year-old man multiple times.
The incident occurred on Oct. 29, at a gas station in Clearwater. The victim and Lopez were seen conversing — when Lopez suddenly and violently punched the victim unprovoked according to PCSO.
The victim tried to walk away but fell on the ground and then was allegedly stabbed repeatedly by Lopez.
When deputies arrived, Lopez retreated inside of the gas station where deputies ultimately took him into custody.

The victim was sent to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Lopez was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder in the First Degree, Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer, and Resisting an Officer with Violence.
He was transported to the hospital where he was medically cleared and taken to the Pinellas County Jail.
Deputies said that the investigation continues.
