TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – After a week of summer heat, the Big Bend and South Georgia will welcome a fall feel in the air this weekend.
A true cold front has helped to pull cool air into the southeast. With the clouds yesterday, it actually felt cold. This afternoon will not feel as chilly because the sun will be out. Temperatures will warm into the upper 70s and low 80s. A spotty shower is possible throughout the afternoon since we have a lingering upper-level low.

For FAMU and FSU, games in Tallahassee should remain rain-free, but a jacket wouldn’t be a bad idea with the breeze.

The afternoon will remain breezy with occasional gusts between 20 and 25 mph. The winds will make for some rough waters in the Gulf and bays. Not the best boating or swimming conditions today. A little better on the water tomorrow with lighter winds.

Tomorrow, clouds will filter back into the area as moisture from a developing low off the Florida coast is brought back into our area. I don’t think it will be enough for scattered showers, but there could be a spotty shower on Sunday. It feels like Sunday will be very similar to Friday, just not as breezy. Highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s.

By Monday, the dry air will take over north Florida and South Georgia. Morning temperatures will be chilly in the 50s area-wide.

So you and the kids will need the jacket heading out on Monday morning. It will be a layer day though, because by the afternoon temperatures will be back in the mid and upper 80s.
Tuesday through the end of the week will remain cool in the morning, near 60 degrees, and warm in the afternoon, reaching the upper 80s.

The dry weather will worsen the drought across the area. I do not see any big rain chances this upcoming week.
