PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — A crash involving a vehicle and a semi-truck on northbound I-95 in Port St. Lucie sent one person to the hospital by helicopter, shutting down the roadway.
According to FL511, the crash was reported around 9:23 a.m. and initially blocked two northbound lanes before authorities closed the entire roadway.
Firefighters with the St. Lucie County Fire District say they landed a Trauma Hawk helicopter on I-95 to transport one adult victim to the hospital.

Motorists were urged to avoid the area and expect major delays while crews worked to clear the scene. As of 10:22 a.m., the lanes have reopened.
