A 5-year-old who was killed after he was struck by a pickup truck in Miami-Dade County was identified on Tuesday, deputies said.
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the boy was identified as Garrett Leonard.
Deputies said the incident happened on Friday in the area of 166th Street and 177th Avenue near the Miami Motocross Park
Leonard was riding his bicycle between cars when he was hit by a truck.
He was then pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated.
No arrests have been made as the investigation remains active.
