The Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra invites the community to kick off Independence Day and America’s 250th anniversary celebrations with music, movies, food, and family fun at A Star-Spangled Celebration, a free community event taking place from 4-7 p.m. Friday, July 3, at the Challenger Learning Center and Kleman Plaza.
Presented by Ron Sachs & Gay Webster-Sachs and Smart Bank, A Star-Spangled Celebration brings the community together to honor the nation’s history, culture, and shared traditions through music.
The event will also highlight the new national year-long initiative — SignON250.org — encouraging Americans of all ages to reaffirm their commitment to the ideals of Freedom, Independence, Equality and “…life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”
The Tallahassee Symphony’s Star-Spangled Celebration on July 3, 2026, will feature an appearance by country music star and Grammy-nominated artist Billy Dean, who will perform his original song – “Sign On” — written to boost the SignOn250.org patriotic initiative.
