As the Miami Heat continues to build around his strengths to kickstart a new era of the franchise, the chances of Giannis Antetokounmpo reuniting with Khris Middleton in South Beach appear to be low right now.

In the wake of Middleton being rumored as a potential target for the Heat, Miami apparently has not pursued the former NBA star to start this year’s free agency, per Barry Jackson and Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald.
“Veteran wing Khris Middleton has been linked to the Heat in free agency, largely because of his connection with Giannis Antetokounmpo. While Middleton hasn’t been ruled out, he was not targeted by the Heat early in free agency, according to a league source,” the report indicated.
Heat yet to pursue Khris Middleton amid Giannis reunion speculations
Khris Middleton is currently an unrestricted free agent who spent the past 2025-26 season splitting his tenure between the Washington Wizards and the Dallas Mavericks.
He averaged 10.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game across 63 total appearances.
Many have been monitoring the possibility of Middleton reconnecting with Giannis Antetokounmpo in Miami. Both stars have rallied the Milwaukee Bucks’ past era of contention, ultimately getting the job done back in 2021 to win the franchise’s second NBA title.
For now, however, there has yet to be any significant development regarding Middleton joining Giannis in Miami to begin a new partnership with the Heat.
