JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that its Vice Unit detectives have arrested 24 men and five women during a three-day, multi-agency operation targeting individuals using the internet to solicit sex.
JSO partnered with the Intercept Task Force and the Clay County Sheriff’s Office for the operation dubbed, “Operation County Line,” to target those using websites to solicit or offer prostitution.

While prostitution is a misdemeanor offense, the sheriff’s office said it is still a serious crime, adding that prostitution fuels human trafficking and spreads diseases.
