Inter Miami has already reached an agreement with Casemiro. In fact, the contract for the former Manchester United player has been drafted and signed for a couple of months now and will tie the Brazilian to Messi’s team for the next three seasons. However, the deal has not yet been finalized or made official.
Casemiro, who is shining at the World Cup with the Seleção, has already scored and Brazil is in the round of 16 after eliminating Japan, has still not been able to celebrate his arrival in Miami where Messi and company are waiting for him with open arms.

Although the pivot is out of contract, having ended his relationship with United with no contract extension, Miami still cannot sign him because of Casemiro’s “discovery rights”. According to MLS records, these currently belong to Los Angeles Galaxy and therefore the California club wants compensation to transfer them to Miami. Galaxy is demanding around $700,000 to $1 million to transfer them and unlock the deal. Although it is normal for there to be no issues with those amounts and for the agreement to be made official shortly, for now the situation has not progressed.
