South Florida was kicking off the holiday weekend with a rain-free Friday morning, but the afternoon will be a different story.

Expect scattered showers and storms with the potential for some spotty flooding. Storms should taper off by the evening.

Look for a similar forecast right through the weekend with the storms favoring each afternoon.

Highs will stay locked into the low-90s with humidity – pretty close to where we should be for this time of the year.

Scattered storms will remain as we kickoff next week but we will see more and more haze in the skies and lower rain chances Tuesday through Friday.

Friday: scattered afternoon storms. High: 92 Rain: 50%
Saturday: scattered storms. High: 92 Rain: 50%
Sunday: scattered storms. High: 92 Rain 40%
