Wild video captured the moments lightning struck a tree in a North Miami neighborhood on Friday, sending it crashing into a moving car.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said they responded to reports of a man struck by a tree near Miami Avenue and Northeast 125th Street.
The man was transported to a trauma center, officials said. His condition was unknown.
Surveillance video from a nearby house captured a loud boom as apparent lightning struck the tree, splitting it before it crashed onto a car driving down the street.
“Like a bomb,” said neighbor Michele Francos.
