Massive car fire shuts down I-10 at Cassat Avenue

JSO and JFRD crews had blocked all lanes of I-10 East at Cassat Avenue as they worked the fire.

A massive car fire had all lanes of I-10 East shut down as crews worked to battle the blaze Tuesday morning.

The fire was first reported shortly after 11:30 a.m. Monday, according to FHP’s traffic incidents map.

JSO had all lanes of I-10 East blocked as JFRD crews worked to extinguish the flames. It’s unclear if there were any injuries.
