Fourth of July in South Florida will bring Impact weather
Don’t forget about our wildlife. Uh, if you’re heading out to the beach and you’re taking stuff with you, make sure you’re bringing everything back, throw everything into the trash just to avoid any problems there. Now if you’re trying to head out to the beach, you wouldn’t be very flexible with your plans because we’re going to be dealing with quite *** few storms for today. Now the morning is going to look great, but then as we head into the lunch hour around 12, 1 o’clock, that’s when we will begin to see some showers and storms developing along the coastline, and that coverage is going to be. Expanding as we head through the afternoon. Here’s *** look around the 3 o’clock hour. Remember the saying, when thunder roars, head indoors, if you have any cookouts or if you’re going to be out at the beach, if *** storm is nearby, you’re hearing some rumbles of thunder, get into *** safe place, not under *** tree, not under *** beach umbrella, get into *** sturdy structure as we progress through the rest of the afternoon. Still going to be tracking showers and storms. Here’s *** look around the 6 o’clock hour. Some of these storms could be strong as well, well, bringing some heavy rain. Lightning as well as some gusty winds and then as we progress into the 7 o’clock hour, you will notice becoming *** bit more isolated in nature and then after the sun sets, things are going to be winding down, not completely dry, but I do think we will have the opportunity to have those fireworks shows going off around the 9 o’clock hour. So again, just be weather aware for today, not only because of the showers and storms, but also because of the heat. We do have *** heat advisory in place for. Palm Beach County because it feels like temperatures are going to be up to 110 degrees, but even if you’re outside of this advisory, it’s going to be pretty hot out there and it’s going to feel more like the 100s. So listen to your body, drink plenty of water, and make sure your pets always have access to cool water as well, and you’ll want to keep the umbrella handy over the coming days because we will continue to have showers and storms across the area. And for today we will have the opportunity to see about half of an inch. Upwards to an inch of accumulation and you will notice again we will have plenty of chances of that rainfall not just for today but even as we head into our Sunday we’re going to be tracking scattered showers and storms into the start of the work week. So when all is said and done over the next 7 days, we will see multiple inches of rainfall across our area predominantly through our far interior sections. That’s where we could see 34 inches of rainfall. Some areas even seeing higher rainfall totals. So that’s. Good news that we’re finally seeing some much needed rainfall across the area as we’re still dealing with *** drought, *** dry, abnormally dry conditions along the immediate coastline, but *** little bit more serious as we push inland where we still have severe drought. So it’s good news that we’re seeing rain, just the timing of it is not ideal and again dry across South Florida this morning, some showers and storms off into the Atlantic. We’re looking to stay mainly dry throughout the morning and then again once we head into the afternoon, that’s when we. We will begin to see those showers and storms approaching the coast. 77 right now in Royal Palm Beach as well as into Jupiter. We’re at 77 in Palm City. Stewart at 78, 75 in Fort Pierce, 76 in Tradition over into Gifford and Vero Beach, we’re at 75 degrees, and then into Okeechobee County, those temperatures currently sitting in the mid-70s. But remember temperatures are going to be heating up. We will be climbing into the low to mid 90s, but it is going to be feeling more like the hundreds across South Florida.
