TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Tallahassee Police are investigating a homicide after an adult was found with a “suspected gunshot wound” on Nylic Street late Monday night and was pronounced dead shortly after, according to the police department.
The incident transpired just before 8:15 p.m. in the 1300 block of Nylic Street following a call for service, TPD wrote in a press release just before midnight Monday.
In its Monday night press release, TPD said officers arrived on scene and found an adult suffering from “a suspected gunshot wound.” The victim was then pronounced dead by EMS on scene, the press release wrote.

The Tallahassee Online Police Statistics webpage flagged the incident at 8:08 p.m. Monday as a shooting. A TPD officer told WCTV via phone call Monday night around 11 p.m. that a “weapon was involved” in the incident, but did not confirm that a shooting had occurred.
This is an open investigation.
WCTV reached out to TPD Tuesday morning for more information, but has not heard back at this time.
