PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — A bus delivering free kids’ books will roll through Pinellas County this summer.

It’s the ninth year for the Summer Book Bus, hosted by the Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County. This year, it will make 85 stops and is expected to distribute more than 10,000 free books.

At each stop, kids will hop on and pick two books to take home. They will also get literacy resources and bookmarks.

Volunteers, including community leaders, elected officials, JWB board members, and staff, will help kids pick the books that match their reading levels and interests.

JWB has also partnered with the St. Petersburg Free Clinic to provide free meals and fresh produce at some of the locations.

The bus will operate between Monday, July 6, and Thursday, July 23rd.

You can find a list of dates, times, and locations on the Summer Book Bus schedule.
