CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Bike Night is back in Cape Coral, and with more parking options for bikes.
After a controversial decision to move motorcycle parking, the city has opened the parking lot behind Iguana Mia to motorcycles and part of SE 11th Place.

Cape Coral’s Bike Night returns
“That’s what makes the bike night is the showcase of your motorcycle,” said Patti Proffitt, Cape Coral Biker Map.
Businesses and organizations FOX 4’s Bella Line spoke with on Friday told her they are happy to have the main attraction closer to their doorsteps.
“I know it’s gonna be great for all the businesses down here, and everyone’s gonna, you know, reap the benefits of it,” said Bob Taft, Owner of Dixie Roadhouse.
The president of the VFW Riders Group, Tilden Mobley, says it’s safer for the bikes.
“With the parking here, it keeps them they’re safe. They know they’re where everybody can see their bikes. Some people bring some very expensive bikes,” said Mobley.
There will be a night of music, food, and more hosted by the Parks & Recreation Department. The event has been going on for over a decade, organizers said.
The City of Cape Coral told FOX 4, “City officials stated last year that the updated layout improves pedestrian flow and emergency access, prioritizing safety as Bike Night continues to grow in attendance.”
It will be on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on SE 47th Terrace (SE 9th Place – Vincennes Blvd).
The free entertainment lineup includes School of Rock, the Charlie Pace Band, and the Hardwired Metallica Tribute Band.
There will also be slow bike races, which you can sign up near SE 11th Place. The free races start at 8 p.m.
The Cape Coral Police Department says they increase their presence at big events for the city like the bike night. “We continuously assess previous events to identify trends and make adjustments as needed. Our goal is to provide a visible and proactive police presence that keeps the event safe for participants, spectators, and local businesses alike,” said a CCPD spokesperson.
Bike parking is located in the Thunder Zone, 4631 SE 10th Place. Additional bike parking is available in the Iguana Mia parking lot, which can be accessed by taking the Vincennes roundabout west and turning left into the lot, and on the north side of the Slow Bike Race area. Motorcycle parking will not be allowed along Southeast 47th Terrace.
