Yet right now, it is safe to assume that their next transaction will not include Nikola Jovic.
According to Ethan J. Skolnick of Five Reasons Sports, the Heat are not actively pursuing a Jovic trade and will not entertain attaching assets just to deal him away in the market.

Nikola Jovic earned himself a major payday from last year, inking a four-year, $62.4 million rookie contract extension with the Miami Heat that runs through the 2029-30 season.
Apparently, getting rewarded by the Heat was not enough for the Serbian sensation to continue stepping up his game.
Jovic suffered a major developmental step-back this past 2025–26 NBA season. From averaging 10.7 points in 2024-25, his production has taken a significant dip to 7.3 points.
He struggled deeply with his shooting, converting just 36.6% from the field and a cold 26.9% from the three-point range.
Given his poor performance last season, his trade value is relatively low, leaving the Heat with no choice but to keep him and avoid further depleting their future assets right after the Giannis mega deal.
Jovic is currently representing Serbia in the FIBA World Cup European Qualifiers, and Miami can only hope that the 23-year-old can gradually regain his momentum to be an eventual impactful piece next 2026-27 season.
