CAPE CORAL, Fla. (CBS12) — A Florida man is behind bars after he was found with more than 500 grams of methamphetamine during a drug investigation.

According to the Cape Coral Police Department, officers obtained a search warrant Wednesday that allowed the department’s SWAT team to search a home on NW 8th Terrace.

The home was occupied at the time of the search, police said. The operation led to the arrest of 29-year-old Joseph Evan Evans.

Once the home was secured, police executed the warrant and seized multiple illegal substances.

The items included:

Approximately 531.3 grams of methamphetamineApproximately 194.7 grams of Alprazolam (Xanax) pillsApproximately 924.8 grams of marijuanaLysergic acid diethylamide (LSD)Drug paraphernalia consistent with the storage and distribution of controlled substancesU.S. Money

Evans faces charges of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.
