A Tampa-based developer is bringing its thriving “Hub” concept to Nocatee.
The project is planned as a 63,225-square-foot “urban” marketplace with restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues, according to an announcement from Center Connect Development.
The center is expected to open in 2028 next to Publix in Marketplace at Nocatee, west of Valley Ridge Boulevard South.
Center Connect has introduced similar Hub-branded projects in the Tampa area, including The Hub at Bexley in Land O’ Lakes and The Hub at Lexington in Wesley Chapel.
The Bexley project is described by the developer as a 50,000-plus-square-foot lifestyle center with outdoor entertainment, dining and shopping in a master-planned community.
The Nocatee version appears to follow a similar model: a suburban retail center designed less like a traditional strip plaza and more like a gathering place, with businesses arranged around a shared outdoor space.

Plans call for outdoor seating, weekend live music and events, and dedicated golf cart parking.
Nocatee has flourished around a mix of neighborhoods, schools, and parks, drawing residents from across the region and helping fuel demand for more dining and retail options.
“We see The Hub at Nocatee as a place that will bring people together in a meaningful way,” said Paul Bissett, developer of The Hub at Nocatee. “Our goal is to create a welcoming environment that supports everyday needs while also offering a lively destination for dining, shopping, entertainment, and community events.”
No tenants were named in the announcement.
Additional details about The Hub at Nocatee are expected to be released at a later date.
