This Saturday, St. Pete is proving once again that a good art scene can do more than fill gallery walls. It can bring people together when they’re needed most. Following the recent devastating earthquakes in Venezuela, D-Gallerie and ARTicles are teaming up for Art Solidarity for Venezuela, a benefit show and silent auction aimed at helping families affected by the disaster.
The free event takes place Saturday, July 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. at D-Gallerie (1234 Dr. MLK Jr. St. N.). Visitors can browse contemporary art, participate in a silent auction, and enjoy authentic Venezuelan food from local favorite Carúpano Kitchen, all while helping support recovery efforts thousands of miles away.
Art with a purpose
The silent auction will feature contemporary artwork donated by St. Pete and Venezuelan artists, including Chad Mize, Ricardo Reyes, and many more. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or just looking for a meaningful way to contribute, every bid will help support relief efforts in Venezuela.
The giving also extends beyond the auction itself. One hundred percent of silent auction proceeds will be donated to the Carlos Carrasco Foundation’s relief fund. ARTicles Gallery will also donate 10% of all sales made during the event, and D-Gallerie will contribute 10% of all gallery sales in July.

About the donations
Donations and collections are being managed by the Carlos Carrasco Foundation, a registered nonprofit led by Venezuelan professional baseball player Carlos Carrasco and his wife, Karelis Carrasco. The foundation will direct proceeds to relief efforts and community support on the ground in Venezuela.
That direct connection is part of what makes the event so meaningful. While attendees will enjoy a night filled with art, food, and conversation, it’s also an opportunity for the St. Pete community to come together and support families who are now facing a difficult road ahead.

Carúpano Kitchen is also partnering with the event, bringing traditional Venezuelan flavors into the mix and helping create an atmosphere that celebrates both culture and community. Admission is free and open to anyone who wants to participate, though organizers encourage guests to RSVP to help with planning and catering.
