Well, if you’ve been wondering which Orlando chef has the BEST sushi, a new event is coming to Disney Springs to figure that out…and you can help decide who’s the best. Yes, a Sushi Showdown is coming to Disney World.
On September 21st, Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs is hosting a Sushi Showdown, which will bring some of Orlando’s most talented sushi chefs to the table to see who makes the best sushi in the city.

Here’s where things get interesting, though: each chef will create a signature sushi with rice and a cooked small plate using the same featured fish. You’ll get to taste their creations and vote for your favorites. Yes, you get to help decide who Orlando’s sushi champion is. You’ll use gold coins to vote while enjoying a live DJ spinning some tunes. You can also participate in a live auction benefiting Give Kids The World, a nonprofit organization that provides cost-free wish vacations to critically ill kids and their families.

There will be two sessions you can buy tickets for: one from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. and one from 8 P.M. to 10 P.M. General admission tickets are $125 per person (plus tax and gratuity), although you can also purchase limited VIP tickets that include a booth for up to four people for $700 (plus tax and gratuity). A beverage package is also available for an additional $25, which includes a custom sake box, six tastings, and expert tasting notes.
