TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Time for something good featuring an incredible rescue!
Saint Nicholas Animal Rescue in Dominica reached out to rescue organizations across the U.S. asking for help with an overwhelming number of homeless cats.
More good news:
Feline Advocates of Leon County (FALC) in Tallahassee answered the call!
A freedom flight later and 100 cats went from the Caribbean to the U.S. and FALC took in eight of them.
The rescue says they are all unique, including Hillary, who had both ears amputated and was shot in her paw, but remains sweet and affectionate.

A few of the cats are settling into foster homes, but several are available to meet at Fat Cat Cafe and Fat Cat Books.
They are still looking for forever homes for the eight cats.
FALC says these felines’ journey is a powerful reminder of what can happen when communities work together across borders to save lives.
